The Seoul Foreign Correspondents' Club was founded in 1956 by nine members. Today we have approximately 300 who are assigned to cover events on the dynamic and exciting Korean peninsula.

The Club is a hub for our reporting activities, hosting a range of events including professional luncheons and news conferences. Among our recent speakers: ministers of the Cabinet of the Republic of Korea, the National Police Agency Commissioner General, the Mayor of Seoul, ambassadors of leading nations and esteemed academics.

The SFCC welcomes not only foreign correspondents, but also, as associate members local journalists, business leaders, diplomats and government officials.

The Club holds frequent social "happy hours" with special guests and a spectacular Year-End party, which attracts some of the country's biggest names in political, social and entertainment circles.

Members enjoy reciprocal privileges at numerous press clubs throughout the world.

Non-members are welcome to drop in and enjoy our lounge, serving Korean and international cuisine, and our bar with a variety of beverages, in the heart of Seoul and overlooking the Seoul City plaza.

A workroom with broadband LAN internet is available for members and there is also free wi-fi throughout the Club.
